DESCRIPTION:The South Carolina Department of Commerce in partnership with Richland County and Scout Motors will host an in-person supplier day event on Thursday \, May 8th. This event will serve as an opportunity for suppliers to meet with Scout Motors procurement personnel\, learn more about their supplier needs\, and how your company might be able to assist. The following will be taken under consideration first for the Scout Motors Supplier Day Event: \n\nOn-Site Cafeteria Food Service\nJanitorial Services\nIT Networking and Cabling\nLocal Events agency\nWaste management\nFacility Management / Maintenance\nMail room services\nAutomotive Design/Prototype Services\nBanking / Financing Partners\nInventory Management\nFire Brigade onsite services\nProject Management Services\nPPE/MRO/Consumables\nPest Control services\nLandscaping services\nPlant / Office Furniture\nWarehouse Services (3PL)\nEngineering Services\nGeneral Contractors & Skilled Trade\nLogistics Services (Road)\nPackaging Mfg.’s\nMaterial Handling Equipment\nParts Inspection \,Containment\, & Quality Services\nAutomated Guided Vehicles (AGVs)\nScrap Recycling (metal & non-metal commodities)\nAutomotive Related Production Equipment & Services\n\n*Registration is required in order to attend (please note: only two representatives per company will be allowed to attend). \n\n\n\n\n**** How the Scout Motors Supplier Day Process Works: \n✔️ Step 1: Register – While registration is required\, it does not guarantee an appointment. \n✔️ Step 2: Supplier Review – The Scout Motors procurement team will carefully review all registered suppliers and select those that align with their current and future needs. \n✔️ Step 3: Notification – All registrants will be notified whether they have been selected for a meeting or not no later than April 24th. \nEven if you are not selected this time\, your information will be kept on file for future needs. \n\n\n\n\nFormat of Event \nEach supplier will have 15 minutes to speak directly with a member of the Scout Motors procurement team. Be prepared to speak quickly and directly about your offerings. Suppliers will be grouped based on commodities and services however\, due to the overwhelming response\, wait times maybe long.
