DESCRIPTION:Career Day connects organizations with students seeking internships and full-time roles in digital\, print and broadcast journalism\, entertainment\, film\, production\, media sales\, advertising and public relations. \nYou will have the opportunity to connect with Grady College students\, and students in additional communications majors at the University of Georgia. In past years\, the in-person Career Day event has drawn 350-500 students. \nGrady College offers students the following undergraduate areas of study: Advertising\, Entertainment and Media Studies\, Journalism and Public Relations majors; New Media Certificate\, Public Affairs Professional Certificate\, Sports Media Certificate\, Strategic Health and Risk Communication Certificate and Certificate in News Literacy. \nCareer Day 2023 will feature a career fair in the Tate Student Center from 10 a.m. – 2 p.m. EST\, followed by an afternoon mixer in the Journalism Building from 2:30 – 3:30 p.m. EST with Grady College students\, faculty and staff. \nWe will also host one career-focused\, online panel leading up to the event\, featuring Platinum\, Gold and Silver sponsors as panelists. It will be open to all communications students to attend online individually\, and will be screened in the Journalism Building with an in-person audience. Grady College classes held during the time selected will also be invited to join. We will follow up with exact timing by the start of the year. \nPlease note: to ensure you are included in print and promotional materials\, you must register as a sponsor by Friday\, Jan. 20\, 2023. Fair registration will close one week prior to the event.
